By registering to be listed as an Advisor on EdHyve ("the website," "website," "edhyve.com"), you ("Advisor") agree that the following terms and conditions will govern all payments made to you by Advisees through the EdHyve system.
EdHyve is a marketplace for those seeking educational consulting and advising services to connect with those seeking to provide educational consulting and advising services. EdHyve also provides a service to its users whereby payments will be distributed to Advisors that originate from their Advisees.
EdHyve offers Advisors a layer of protection in the collection of their funds. To facilitate the collection and distribution of funds to the Advisors in a timely manner, please ensure that the following conditions are met. If any of the following conditions are not met and EdHyve becomes unable to collect your payment from the parent, Advisee, or other type of account-holder (collectively, "Advisee") to whom you gave an advising session or provided an educational consulting service, EdHyve cannot guarantee that your payment will be successfully collected, processed and distributed to you:
If all the above Conditions for guaranteeing receipt of payment for Advisee lessons are met, Advisors can expect to receive their funds according to the following schedule. If there are questions about any of the conditions, payments may be delayed while EdHyve attempts to resolve the issues.
Advisors using the EdHyve platform will receive their Advisee payment by Direct Deposit. After an Advisor enters accurate bank account and routing numbers via our payment partner Stripe, funds will be released to the Advisor's bank on the 1st and 15th of each month or the following business day in case of weekends and bank holidays.
In order for a service payment to be included during a particular period in which funds are disbursed, that service must be marked as complete 5 days prior to the payment date. The time between when the funds are released by EdHyve and made available to the Advisor by the Advisor's bank will vary and is controlled by the Advisor's bank, not by EdHyve.
If an Advisor's direct deposit is returned to EdHyve by the Advisor's bank, EdHyve will request that the Advisor correct the Advisor's bank information. The returned funds will be resent within five (5) days after the bank information is corrected.
Advisors are responsible for all federal, state, and/or local taxes due as a result of the services provided and payment distributed. EdHyve shall not withhold (or allocate in any other manner) any amount of Independent Advisor's fees toward any federal, nor state, or local income tax, or toward payroll tax of any kind. EdHyve will issue an annual earnings statement for each Advisor to use for tax reporting purposes.
Advisors set their own service fees and hourly rates and may change it at any time. Advisees who have reserved sessions with an Advisor prior to the hourly rate change will continue to pay at the previous rate until all reserved sessions are completed.
All Advisors agree to a flat 20% Platform Fee. The 20% fee percentage will apply to all services and sessions. This means 80% of your submitted service fees and/or hourly rates will be distributed to you. The Platform Fee may be adjusted from time to time based on Advisor performance, client retention rates, and promotional incentives.
Non-educational consulting and advising charges should be incorporated into the service fee charges. This includes any travel, prep time or other expenses that you wish to defray to the customer. All costs associated with educational consulting and advising Advisees who retain you through the EdHyve platform, must go through the site.
