Cancellation And Refund For Live Meeting Sessions

We value the time commitment from our Advisors and Advisees. To protect our Users and provide an easy and fair process for contracting and providing educational consulting and advising services, EdHyve has adopted a standard 24-hour cancellation policy for all live sessions between an Advisor and Advisee.

When Booking is Declined

When an Advisee books a live meeting session on EdHyve platform, the Advisor has an opportunity to accept or decline the booking. When declining a booking, we recommend that the Advisor first contact the Advisee and give a reason and alternative times for rescheduling, if applicable. If the booking is declined, the Advisee will receive a full refund, including the transaction fee. If both parties agree to reschedule the booking, the Advisor may change the booking to the new mutually agreed time, with no extra charge.

When Booking is Accepted

When accepting a booking, the Advisor should ensure that the Advisee receives clear confirmation of the session's location (online or in-person) and start time via EdHyve messaging. Personal emails, phone calls, text messages, and other communication between parties regarding session scheduling and cancellation that are sent outside EdHyve messaging system are not verifiable and EdHyve then cannot assist in enforcing them.

After a booking has been accepted, this 24-hour cancellation policy will take effect.

Advisee Cancellation with More Than 24 Hours Notice

If the Advisee cancels a session with more than 24 hours of notice, the Advisee will receive a full refund, minus the transaction fee. The Advisee may contact the Advisor to request to reschedule a session with more than 24 hours of notice and the Advisor will change the booking to a new mutually agreed time with no extra charge.

Advisee Cancellation with Less Than 24 Hours Notice

No refund will be issued for sessions cancelled by the Advisee with less than 24 hours of notice. To reschedule a session with less than 24 hours of notice, the Advisee must complete a new booking and pay again. No show by an Advisee is considered the same as cancellation with less than 24 hours of notice.

Advisor Cancellation

If the Advisor wishes to cancel or reschedule a live session at any point, they must first contact the Advisee. If the Advisee agrees to the cancellation, the Advisee will receive a full refund and the Advisor will be charged the 8% processing fee. No show by an Advisor is treated the same as a cancellation initiated by the Advisor. If the Advisee agrees to reschedule, the Advisor may change the booking to a new mutually agreed time with no extra charge. Please contact EdHyve customer support if the Advisee refuses to cancel or reschedule.

Important: It is important for Advisors and Advisees to communicate with each other promptly when the need to cancel or reschedule a live session arises in order to avoid disputes. Emails, phone calls, or text messages sent outside the EdHyve messaging system are not verifiable by our team, so all communication regarding cancellations should be performed using EdHyve Messages.

Cancellation And Refund For Asynchronous Services

Asynchronous services are flat-fee services that do not require a live meeting between the Advisor and Advisee. After an Advisee places an order for asynchronous services, the Advisor has an opportunity to accept or decline the order.

When Order is Declined

When declining an order, we recommend that the Advisor first contact the Advisee and give a reason and clarify instructions or propose adjustments to the order, if applicable. If the order is declined, the Advisee will receive a full refund, including the transaction fee. If both parties agree to adjust the order, the Advisor may change the order, including the deliverables, delivery time, and fee amount to the new mutually agreed terms.

After Order is Accepted

After an asynchronous order has been accepted, the Advisor is expected to complete the service and deliver within the turnaround time. If a delay is encountered, the Advisor should communicate with the Advisee and request an extension to the deadline. If there is no mutual agreement about extending the deadline, the Advisee can cancel the order after 24 hours of the expected delivery date and receive a full refund. The Advisor will be charged the 8% transaction fee for cancellation due to non-delivery.

Mutual Cancellation

Both parties may request a cancellation after an order has been accepted but not yet delivered and prior to the delivery deadline. If a mutual agreement on cancellation is achieved, the Advisee will receive a full refund, minus the 8% transaction fee. The order cannot be cancelled if it is already delivered.

Dispute Resolution

If the Advisee is not satisfied with the delivered service, we recommend first contacting the Advisor for a revision or modification to the service. If an agreement cannot be reached, please contact EdHyve customer support by emailing support@edhyve.com to initiate the dispute resolution and refund process.

Important: It is important for Advisors and Advisees to communicate with each other promptly on the EdHyve messaging system when they need to cancel or modify an order. Emails, phone calls, or text messages sent outside the EdHyve messaging system are not verifiable by our team, so all communication regarding cancellations and changes should be performed using EdHyve Messages.
